Karting is classed as an extreme sport, and as such requires standards for participation. The rules MUST be obeyed or you may either forfeit your running event with NO REFUND -or- in extreme circumstances you will receive a total exclusion from ALL activity at Peterborough Raceway.

We maintain the very highest levels in safety for your piece of mind, and every care will be taken to ensure that we meet your expectation when visiting Peterborough Raceway.

We employ many technical features into the circuit and one very useful example is the 'DACS Driver Automatic Control System' This system is in place for reckless driving style or dangerous driver, the system will takeover engine control and will bring your kart speed down to a walking pace or stop your engine completely, in most circumstances this is normally TWO LAPS before a release is activated.

This sport is fun and exciting, so much so that your attention to your driving must be maintained, you may injure yourself if you drive without attention. This is a safety notice. The following rules and conditions MUST be adhered to at all times.

Rules and Conditions

NO ALCOHOL consumption prior/during your event

NO DRUGS (FULL STOP)

All participants MUST be fit and healthy

Anyone wishing to drive and has a back or heart condition MUST provide a Doctors note authorising participation.

Children MUST be 8 years old or above and at least 4' (122cm) tall

Drive with due care and attention when on the race circuit

NO Bumping (Constitutes Dangerous Driving) - Remember DACS!!

NO Stopping unless instructed to

NO Driving intentionally in the wrong direction

Listen to all instructions from Marshals and the Race Director

If you feel sick DON'T drive, £50 charge for replacement helmet, £60 charge for Race Suit.

AGE POLICY (Children)

CHILDREN
Minimum Age	8 years old
Height	4' 3" (122cm) Tall
Age range for children classification 8-15 years old.

Please note that proof of age will be required is there are any doubt. All under 16's MUST be signed in by their parents or guardian. You may bring alone any other children but MUST also get thier parents/guardians consent before they will be able to participate, you will be also required to counter sign the declaration, you will be responsible for the behavour and conduct on the premises.

Also note that NO children under the age of 12 can drive on our ciruit until they have attended our induction session, on successful completion will receive their Driving License (License to Drive), which proves they have the confidence and understanding of how to control a kart in race mode.

ALCOHOL POLICY

There is a strict, NO ALCOHOL during any live event which you are a participant, failure to adhere to this rule, you will forfeit your event and may be excluded from other future events. This for your safety and that of other drivers on the track.
